Episode 13. It's An Inside Job with Akosua Dardaine Edwards

Akosua Dardaine Edwards is the founder of the NiNa Young Women’s Leadership Programme, which provides financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and tools to build self-value in young women within the state care system.

For the past few years, the NiNa programme has worked with ladies under state care and those from at-risk communities to support the development of skills so that they can become independent.

NiNa also has a transition programme for young ladies who leave state care at the age of 18 to reintegrate them back into mainstream society. The programme is in secondary schools throughout Trinidad & Tobago.

Akosua has written & published four books. Her latest book, Now What? The Flip Side, was published in March 2021.
